  • If you are using a Microsoft product, you do not need an FTP program.  The website should be uploaded directly from your Microsoft Program.
  • Do not delete any files or folders other than those that you upload.
  • Ensure that your home page is named index
  • All files uploaded to the server should be in lower case with no spaces or funny characters in the file names. eg. home & contacts.jpg is incorrect but home_contacts.jpg is correct.

Tips and handy hints

  • If you do not see your content after upload please check that the files are in the correct folders on the server.
  • If the above is correct it could be a browser cached page, try holding down the [Ctrl] key on your keyboard while pressing [F5] a few times to clear the browser's cache or "memory" of that page and reload the page fresh, this needs to be repeated on each web page that does not correspond with the most recently uploaded page or file.
